to identify potential new members, plan and conduct membership campaigns, and make recommendations tot he board of directors for ongoing membership development, recognition, and retention.

Responsibilities:
- promoting the benefits of CCUMC membership to current and potential members;
- planning membership campaigns for the coming year and implementing the campaigns planned for the current year;
- accomplishing any goals identified as part of its responsibilities in the current strategic plan;
- considering cultural diversity as it plans membership campaigns;
- contacting individuals whose membership has lapsed to encourage renewals and to identify reasons for nonrenewal;
- preparing a written, annual plan of work and a budget for consideration by the board of directors;
- and projecting membership figures for the next membership year and submitting them to the treasurer.
Membership chair is appointed by the president for a two-year term and serves as an ex officio member of the board of directors; other members are appointed by the president in consultation with the Membership chair and serve two-year staggered terms.
