Charge:
- Implement, manage, and review all official publications of the Consortium of College and University Media Centers.
- Set general guidelines for all CCUMC publications to include establishing and supervising editorial policy, determining the necessity and feasibility of a publication, setting general content guidelines for all publications, and coordinating all publishing activity.
- Develop an organizational style sheet to be incorporated into all CCUMC publications (thereby publishing materials with a recognizable, uniform look) and review publications to determine consistency of use and adherence to the style sheet.
- Oversee and manage as of July 1, 1992, three publications: the Leader (newsletter), the Proceedings (conference material), and the College & University Media Review (a compendium of articles related to instructional media and technology issues in higher education).
- Prepare and submit an annual budget for executing the identified CCUMC publications, as well as an annual budget for the PAB.
- Review publication proposals/opportunities and recommend action to the board of directors. When appropriate, the PAB will appoint subcommittees to research publication proposals and/or to develop a publication and its content.
- Continually analyze CCUMC publication needs and establish a mechanism for setting and achieving publication goals.
- Consider changes in the membership on the publication needs of CCUMC and respond to these changes by recommending publication adjustments where appropriate.
- Consider the implications of electronic publishing and/or electronic communication as it relates to CCUMC and recommend action where appropriate.
