CCUMC Treasurer

Responsibilities and Duties:

The treasurer is responsible for:

  • chairing the Finance Committee.
  • working with the executive director to ensure that the treasurer is bonded.
  • issuing checks for budgeted expenses in a timely manner following approval by the president (faxed copies of expense sheets and bills are acceptable).
  • establishing procedures to keep payments flowing during absences greater than one week and submitting a back-up plan for approval by the board of directors.
  • ensuring adherence to guidelines established for the expenditure of consortium funds.
  • providing a treasurer's report, which includes a statement of net worth, a budget report within budget categories, and appropriate conference profit/loss reports at all meetings of the board of directors and the general membership.
  • providing the executive director with all information necessary for account reconciliation.
  • preparing and submitting Federal Non-Profit Tax Report.
  • submitting a summary of income and expenses for the year ending to the executive director for inclusion in the annual report.
