Peggy M. Brown has been the instructional designer for the distance learning program at the Syracuse University School of Information Studies since 2000 and an Adjunct Professor since 2003. Peggy has led an inter-institutional online pedagogy program consisting of thirteen nationally ranked and international schools offering online programs. Her major responsibilities are faculty development, course design & development, and decision making for evaluation to implementation of instructional resources, media services and the learning management system. Peggy received her Master's degree in Instruction, Design, Development and Evaluation and her B.S. in Information Management and Technology. |

Opencast Matterhorn Project Adam Hochman |

Adam Hochman is a project manager for Educational Technology Services at the University of California, Berkeley. For the past year, he has been the lead project manager for the Opencast Matterhorn Project. He was instrumental in the planning and community building effort initiating the project. Prior to his role on the Opencast Matterhorn project, he project managed Webcast NG which is UC Berkeley's campus-wide lecture capture, processing, and distribution system. Before arriving at Berkeley, Adam participated in an Americorps/IBM led program to narrow the digital divide in inner city schools and worked extensively as a consultant for Estee Lauder International Online. |

Doug McCartney is The Director of Instructional Technology Services at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. Doug has been employed at the institution for the past 10 years and his major responsibilities revolve around the support and planning of media services, classroom instructional technology, video conferencing, special event production, campus learning spaces, and university technology planning. Doug’s specific areas of interest include the improving academic technology use in the classroom and organizational development in instructional technology support units. Doug has a Bachelor of Science in Geography/Urban Planning, Master of Education in Instructional Technology, and Ph.D. coursework in Higher Education Administration from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio. |

Brian Smith is the Video Operations Supervisor for the Office of Academic Technology at the University of Florida. His major responsibilities include support and planning of video streaming, event production, and video conferencing. He has worked at UF for the past 10 years with extensive experience capturing video using Windows Media and Real Media, and has been using Mediasite since 2004. Brian has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. |

Dr. Sandra L. Miller is the Director of Instruction and Research Technology at William Paterson University. Dr. Sandra. L. Miller provides leadership and vision for the Student Technology Consultant program, and the departments of Academic Technology, Media Services, and Broadcast, Production and Support for Cable, Satellite, and ITV conferencing. Miller is the PI for NJVid, an IMLS National Leadership Grant. Miller's recent conference presentations have included: EDUCAUSE National Conference in 2008 on “NJVid: A Collaborative Portal for Statewide Video Access” and "Focus Groups as Formative Assessment" at CCUMC. Miller published "Faculty Focus Groups" in the College and University Media Review 2007-2008, "Video as process and product" in EDUCAUSE Quarterly, 2005 and numerous other technology articles on online tutoring. Miller received her doctorate in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University. |
